We’ve created 10 events for the memorial contest, and over 700 players sent in prestigious and high quality entries. We’ve tried to create events where everybody would have a chance to win something and everybody could find the event suited for their skill level and playstyle.
For the Morphelo Tournament, which was organised for the first time, 28 teams have entered to battle for the prizes. It was nice to see the positive attitude of both the smaller and the bigger clans of the Hungarian WoT community and that they’ve entered with their teams. The first live stream of our channel was done during the finals. With the help of the two casters, Mars1991 and Goodbad93, we managed to do a high quality stream. Their work was helped by a professional team in the background, the staff of the Wotinfo.tv, which will start in November.
So what have the two events achieved? Let’s see the numbers:
On the Tournament, the Contest, the games, the announcements and the events connected to these, the winners have won 36 premium tanks, 352000 gold, 290 premium days, a gaming monitor, gaming peripherals, tank driving and 500000 Huf money. The total value of the prices is over 1300000 Huf! But this isn’t everything, at the local event of the finals we draw winners of valuable prizes totalling 100000 Huf from the crowd. It’s unbelieveable, as far as we know an event like this big was never done before in Europe without the help of Wargaming.
The cup of the tournament was designed by an artist. It resembles the letter M of Morphelo and the logo of the game which he played with so fondly. This cup is at the family of Morphelo between this tournamet and the tournament of next year. The name of the winners are engraved on the plaque mounted on the cup.
Of course the finals couldn’t have happened the way we imagined without the help of the sponsors. We would like to thank Samsung, OXXO Energy drinks, tank.hu, Caseking, ProVideo, András Nyírő, Elison, who helped us at the finals, and the BarCraft2 esport Bar providing the venue for the finals.
Lastly I mention the teams of eSport Universum and Wotinfo.hu, who have organised and managed the whole tournament and without their help we couldn’t have created this very successful event!
Thank you László Szombat, Csaba Blága, Márk Tischler, NomaxXx, Jacktor, Mars1991, Goodbad93 and the many people in the background who worked on this, and of course You, the COMMUNITY as well.
As last year and this year, we count on you next year as well!
We’ve got a lot of compliments and congratulations, but for me, the words of Róbert Szabó, the dad of Morphelo meant the most when I’ve asked him, to say a few word on the finals: „I’m sorry Gábor, although I’ve prepared for this, I can’t say anything due to me being moved (by the event)”
Next year we will continue form here with you!
