Bubblebox-szal folytatott beszélgetésem alapján írtam a developments and ideas topic-ba is a játék szerintem legkomolyabb problémájáról. Röviden: Sok játékos kilép a csata közben.
írtam egy hosszabb választ, hátha komolyabb érvek ütköznek: I am very surprised and disappointed about some of your answers. Do you really think the surrender is a good and useful option for this game? Are you saying that anyone has the right to ruin other people's game by surrender?
If you want play games, when you always win, then try to find yourself another game, or play against AI. It is easier!
What is your goal, when you click on the surrender button? To save your skin? To forget the loss instantly and start again with a clean sheet? Bad news for you, because when start again, you will also wait for finding yourself an enemy. Who can be the same person  We are in a test phase. Less people are playing yet... So you have to wait. You will not save too much time with escaping.
This is only a game, i know. But this is a wargame! How often surrender an army in a war? Not very often! They did, when they had to, when they can't see any better solution! Have you heard about the russian comissars in the 2nd World War? Their job was to force the infantry to go ahead, and do not turn back...
Surrender can't be an early option! A lot of enemies surrendered after a few rounds, when they have near 20 HQ points or even more!! Why? Pointless!
Don't forget that this is the closed beta test for the KARDS game. All the players are testing it. The developers are eager to get real data about their game, to use the battle experience for repairing and improving the game! All the players have to help them, if we want to play with this game in the future! This is our responsibility! If you surrender from battle, you are sabotaging this data collection!
If a player surrender, and quits the game early, they are not giving enough data to the developers! When we haven't got enough time for attacking the enemy's units or HQ, we are unable to get experience about the game, and about our deck. But this information you need mostly, to improve your skills, decks, which is necessary for planning your strategy and tactics.
I had several battles, when the enemy has more HQ points than i had, and he/she still gave up. Without being sure, that who is going to win the battle.
I also had other games, when i attacked the enemy base early in the game. It had only 5 or less HQ points, and i lost. Because i was unable to attack more. My enemies slower deck had enough kredit points to grow, and ate my units.
I believe there are much more advantages to continue the battles, instead of giving up.
I understand, that seeing your loss is very hard and painful. But not everything is predictable. When you see, that your deck is in a bad shape, and the enemy looks unbeatable. It happens. And you will not win all your battles. Sometimes you win, and other time you lose. This is in the game. Other type of deck can beat yours. It is normal. But think about that, what do you think and feel, when you are going to win, and the enemy quit the game? Do you think he/she is stealing the victory from you? The feeling, what a hard and sweaty victory means to you?! That's you want to give to fellow players? Is this correct?
Let's try to win, and beat the enemy's army. You will be happy, when you can, but don't escape when you can't! Act like a man, as a real warrior, and move on. Next time, may be your tactics will be better and more effective.
I had only 1 battle, when my enemy's victory was sure. I had no units, he had the maximum 9 on the table, and we were drawing up all the cards from the deck.
I was curious about his deck, and his tactics. I could learn from his victory. It made me think about my deck. Which cards were useful, and which were useless. What cards can be useful for me in the future? And so on...
I can accept, that our earlier suggestions to change the game, maybe were too strict. Maybe there is a place for surrender. But there should be limits. Example: You have to play at least 12 rounds, to reach the maximum 12 kredits. Or other, but reasonable rules should control the circumstances when it is allowed to quit.
You can quit in battle with AI, but not when you are playing against real players! Lets give the respect for each other!
I can imagine, that on tournaments or competitions you must not use surrender option. But let's give reasonable ideas for the developers, how to find the golden middle course about surrender in Kards. There has to be an acceptable solution for every body!
There is a communication panel choice, when you can say to the enemy: I will never surrender! I am playing like that. I hope you will think it over, and try to help the developers work, by testing in fair play, and generating big data with playing KARDS. Thank you!
"You've been thunderstruck."
